Brennan Center for Justice at the NYU School of Law
The Brennan Center for Justice at the NYU School of Law is a nonpartisan think tank and policy institute that advocates for innovative improvements to our systems of democracy and justice. For twenty years the Brennan Center has conducted rigorous research and promoted scholarly discourse and writing to support their work on a range of issues like campaign finance reform, ending mass incarceration, modernizing voter registration and restoring voting rights.
Led by President Michael Walden, the Brennan Center combines scholarship, legal advocacy and thoughtful publications to win meaningful change and equal justice for all. Articulating a robust vision of the Constitution, the Brennan Center leads an ambitious initiative to develop a compelling progressive jurisprudence for the 21st century.
The entire Change Happens Foundation team actively supports and enthusiastically commends the Brennan Center for their exemplary dedication to preserving voting rights and improving our justice system. We look forward to our continuing partnership with the Brennan Center as they lead the charge to restore our democracy.
. . . the Constitution will endure as a vital charter of human liberty as long as there are those with the courage to defend it, the vision to interpret it, and the fidelity to live by it.
- Justice William J Brennan Jr, September 17, 1987
